Opportunity Mapping
The SWOT that says what you really have under control on the deal
The opportunity’s SWOT, built from the team’s cards, and a score that says what is covered.
In practice
Each opportunity carries its SWOT, built from the cards in the team’s library: strengths (the USPs), weaknesses, opportunities (the compelling events), threats. Each card is open, covered or not mastered.
The score sets the bonuses of covered cards against the penalties of cards not mastered. Crossed with the process in the risk matrix, it says whether the lead on the deal is real.
